Cocksuckers cost me 11,000 or 5,500(if he takes a knee)
Two ways they could have won that game. Take the knee or stop them on defense. Either was a huge advantage for them
This Falcons Matt Ryan era team is straight porn star Daffy Duck choke

Makes it worse knowing he was told to get down. Pretty much knew a Falcons cover was going to get blown.

If the coaching staff just wanted to use clock and kick a FG, why not just take a knee at the 10? It was first and goal from the 10, why risk a fumble?

Yeah,
1st and goal from 10 . 1:12 remaining
Detroit with no timeouts
Just wanted to get as close as they could
But how dumb do you have to be if they told you right before the play to not core and run the clock out
How could you realize you need to stop at the 1 footline and then it is too late

This also cost Penn St the game

Didn't score here. But too much time on the clock and ended up scoring to cover 30-16

Agreed. Plus blame needs to fall on ATL defense also. 1 min to not let the Lions go down the field and score. Horrible.

That whole game was questionable from start to finish like it was scripted. When Stafford extended drive on Detroit’s first touchdown that was such a lame penalty on Atlanta . The guy never slid terrible call .3 turns into 7. Amazing how Atlanta finished last year and began this year polar opposites

I told 'the tv' many times, in these situations: 'Scoring a td is ok, just not on 1st down. Waste a down if you have to.'

If they would have scored the td on second down, Det would only have had like 30 secs to go down the field.
Which is almost impossible

A fg try can be botched, so I would rather take the td---assuming very little time left on the clock

I could be wrong but it almost looks like Gurley wanted to pretend like he was trying to keep himself from scoring but wanted to get credit for the TD.
He could not just run straight into the end zone . That would have been a really bad look for him.

So he did what he did to get the TD and pretend like he was not trying to score .

Of course I don’t know that for a fact but that’s the way it looks.

Kinda like an NBA player intentionally missing a shot with 10 seconds left to get the offensive rebound so he can get a triple double

I was under the impression this entire week it was 3rd and 1 when he did that.

It was 1st and GL? Yeah, that isn't even his fault. It is the coaches. Although he isn't blameless.

Taking the clock to near 0 and kicking the FG is the clear play.

Yeah the video is pretty misleading. Ryan says to get the 1st and go down so it clearly was on the 3rd and 1 play. The video wanted you to believe it was before the 1st and goal play to make Gurley look worse.
